Plaslope (Pty) Ltd
Plaslope is a private, family owned company and has been managed and controlled
by the husband and wife team of Jan & Denise Visser. Plaslope is located
in Sebenza, Edenvale, close to the OR TAMBO International Airport in Johannesburg,
South Africa.
Plaslope pioneered the manufacture and supply of Plastic Envelopes (both
Selfseal and Heatseal) in Southern Africa. Other products were soon developed,
these include the Protectadoc® (self-adhesive waybill/document holder),
Easy Slip-on School Exercise Book Covers, Courier Paks, Tamper Evident
and Non-Tamper Evident Security Bags.
Tamper Evident Security Bags
Plaslope manufactures and supplies Tamper Evident Security Bags, which
are used for the safe movement of cash, confidential documents and valuables,
such as exhibits/evidence for the SA Police Service, examination papers,
diamonds, foreign exchange, election papers etc. These bags are manufactured
with a high strength clear or opaque film and a specialized tamper evident
security seal. They are printed to the customer’s specifications,
which includes unique sequential numbering and bar-coding.
Non-Tamper Evident Security Bags
(Drop Cash & Drop Safe)
These bags are used for the movement of cash (collections and deposits)
to and from safes. These bags are manufactured from clear polyethylene
with a flap, which has an adhesive strip for easy closure. For recording
and control purposes the bags are sequentially numbered.
STEBS (Security Tamper Evident
Bags)
As part of the comprehensive overall airport security system, new restrictions
have been set for the secure transport of LAG’s (Liquids, Aerosols
& Gels) purchased by passengers from duty-free shops after passing
security. These purchases are then placed into a STEB. Plaslope (Pty)
Ltd complies with the specification laid out by ICAO (International Civil
Aviation Organisation) and is registered as a ‘Known STEB Manufacturer’.
Courier Paks (Flyers)
The paks are used by Courier, Freight or Parcel companies for the secure
movement of their client’s consignments. The paks are manufactured
from opaque grey or white polyethylene with a flap which has an adhesive
strip for easy closure. They can be printed (maximum 6 colours) to the
customer’s specification or purchased Plain (no print).
A clear overlapping Body Pocket for the insertion of waybills or consignment
notes etc. is available on either side of the Courier Pak.
Protectadocs®/Stentilopes/Pactecs
(self-adhesive document holder)
These self-adhesive envelopes are manufactured from clear polyethylene
with adhesive on the rear. They are affixed to Courier Paks, cartons/boxes,
drums etc. for the insertion of waybills, consignment notes, documentation
etc.
Selfseal and Heatseal Envelopes
These envelopes are used for the mailing of magazines, catalogues, brochures,
annual reports etc. They can be personalized (maximum 6 colours) to the
customer’s specification or purchased Plain (no print). Sizes available
are DL, C5, C4 and BC4.
The Selfseal Envelope is manufactured with a flap which has an adhesive
strip for easy closure
The Heatseal Envelope is manufactured without a flap. These envelopes
are sealed with a Heatsealing machine
Plastic School Exercise Book Covers
(Easy Slip-on)
These Easy Slip-on Book Covers are manufactured from polyethylene in either
clear or nine bright colours. They are printed with a label for the Students
Name, Subject and Grade. They are available in 3 sizes to fit A4, A5 (upright)
and A5 (landscape).
Plaswrap (Plastic
Sheeting)
This product is manufactured in sheet form on a roll and is also known
as centerfold sheeting. The material is sealed by means of an ‘L
Seal’ or High Speed Wrapper/ Insertor Machine. It is used for packaging
magazines, catalogues, brochures, annual reports etc.
